Microalbuminuria Test
A brief on Microalbuminuria
Microalbuminuria measures excretion of small amounts of albumin (a type of protein) in your urine. This is determined by estimating the albumin: creatinine ratio. Sometimes the first morning sample (since it’s a concentrated one) might give a falsely higher value and hence it is advisable to avoid the first sample of the day. A microalbumin test is used to detect early signs of kidney damage in people who are at risk of developing kidney disease.
